Recorded as a trio when Simone was 25, the original 11-track LP melds gospel with vocal jazz in a way that had been rarely attempted before, and rarely matched since. Later adding an extended version of "My Baby Just Cares For Me" from the same 1957 session, WaxTime has added an additional three tracks to this 180gram reissue, including a stunning version of "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands".
